This is the first edition of eUpdate. The goal of this monthly newsletter is to provide helpful computing tips & information, updates about services offered and an occasional promotion or discount. Mozy Online Backup

Windows 7 Tip :: Pin to Taskbar

The Pin to Taskbar feature in Windows 7 allows users to place program icons as buttons on the taskbar for easy one click program access and organization.

To pin a program to the taskbar, find the program icon either on the desktop or on the start menu. Right click the program icon and then left click "Pin to Taskbar". This will place the icon for that program prominently on the taskbar.

Windows XP Tip :: Display the Quick Launch bar

The Quick Launch bar is a list of shortcut buttons to your favorite programs. You can use the Quick Launch bar to open programs with a single click, without having to go through the Start menu. Look for the Quick Launch bar directly to the right of your Start button.

If the Quick Launch bar is not currently visible, you can enable it by following this tutorial on the official Microsoft Windows XP tips web site.
